Global Yiakl Eritrean Movement to Host 3rd Congress Under the Theme “Our Collective Bows to Our First Enemy”
Global Yiakl Eritrean Movement- a grassroots organization championing justice, democracy, and human rights in Eritrea, is set to hold its 3rd Congress from February 28 to March 2, 2025.
This landmark event will be conducted under the theme: “Our Collective Bows to Our First Enemy.” Since its establishment in 2019, the Global Yiakl Eritrean Movement has been at the forefront of advocating for the Eritrean people’s plight and exposing the ongoing suffering under dictatorship to the international community.
With relentless dedication, the movement has been instrumental in uniting Eritrean opposition parties and grassroots initiatives to work together. Without being limited to the diaspora, the fight against the regime in Eritrea has to be firmly established within the country, fostering a strong connection with our people and the national army to achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Global yak, therefore, calls upon the Eritrean army to recognize the immense suffering of our people under the rule of Issaias Afewerki and to stand in solidarity with them in pursuit of justice, freedom, and national dignity. Call for Public Participation therefore, the Global Yiakl Eritrean Movement invites all Eritrean justice seekers to actively participate in the upcoming 3rd congress and contribute constructive feedback.
The event will feature:
- Election of new leadership.
- Panel discussions led by youth activists and leaders from opposition parties.
- Presentation of a strategic plan for the movement’s next phase.
